Anybody on the Bu crew know the weight of this boat on a dual axle Extreme trailer? Vehicle says it can pull 7500 lbs. Just want to be safe. Thanks.

And 47 gallons of gas x 8 = 376

Your still under 5500 lbs. I doubt your carrying more than about 500 - 700 lbs in gear & coolers. You should have well over 1000 lbs to spare. And I doubt you will haul very much at that weight anyway.

That said, you should be fine for short trips, ie; less than 200 miles. I've read the rule of thumb is 75% of capacity for long hauls.

A consideration:

The cooling system sometimes is the weakest link in the towing capacity. That's because the tranny cooler is built into the combination radiator. Take your Escalade to the local radiator shop and inquire about an additional transmission cooler. This will be an inexpensive investment on the order of about 15% of the cost of a transmission rebuild. It turns out that you only need the additional cooling capacity on 95 degree days which happen to be the best boating days.

No, he'll be closer to 6k than you think. My VLX (rated at 3600 lbs) was almost 5900 lbs on an Extreme tandem, that was moderately loaded with gear. You've got to figure that not only is the boat dry when they weigh it, there's no tower, no accessories....it's very stripped.

One other thing that often gets overlooked is the hitch itself. The vehicle may be "capable" of a certain rating, but the hitch itself is almost always less. Oftentimes what comes from the factory is rated at 6k lbs, or even 5k. So check that, I'd bet that that will be your limiting factor.
