I am in the market for my first true Wake boat and i am torn between the 2010 Wakesetter 23lsv and the Centurion Enzo 230. I need your feedback and/or stories on helping me make my decision. Any info on either will help out. I am an intermediate wakeboarder and wanting to devote a lot of time into the surf world after my purchase. My wife is a beginer wakeboarder. we also have to small children that love to ride and will soon be behind the boat ripping it up. Thanks in advance for all your input!!

Ever rode in an Enzo? I spent the weekend in a buddies a few weeks ago. Unreal amount of ballast for it. Might have been good weighted on one side or the other but not the whole 3000 lbs. The boat sucked the gas, huge, mushy wake, and the tower is a total rattle trap. The wake & boat performance was much better with about 1500 lbs of ballast. Those huge bags take up a lot of space though. Almost no storage in the back at all. Vests & stuff you can remove & put someplace else when the bags are full in the compartments beside the engine.

There is no comparison with the LSV. We just took one to Shasta for a week. It's an awesome boat for a big crew. It's in a different league than the Enzo entirely. Way more storage, better back support in the seats, big, firm, well defined wake & a pleasure to drive. Just no comparison at all in my book.

LSV no question...

The trick in this video is incredible but look at the wake...kinda crappy imo.

Orlando wake academy. i paid a visit to them about a month ago. Those guys are awesome. I belive that jump came from their 07 typhoon!

Centurian is more comparable to Axis, definitely will not stack up to the BU as far as fit, finish and performance. The enzo might make a better surf wake out of the box but the LSV will do just as well properly weighted, there is another thread regarding this subject, try a search cause I cannot remember where it is, I think in water sports and gear section.

Assuming the Centurion is considerably less money you should consider it. It really all boils down to the best deal you can make relative to the market. Shop around. Availability and prices are best in the fall. I would go to work and check all the Craigslist offerings for both brands within a wide radius. There are some deals on some Malibu's also, just make sure you don't overpay.

FWIW, I know some guys that have Centurion's and frankly they are happy. One of my friends has an Avalanche and they do a lot of surfing and wakeboarding. The good news is I see him at my athletic club and sometimes at the Billy Chinook ramp. The better news is they head for the Metolius River arm and we waterski in the Crooked River arm so I am not affected by his monster wake.

Another friend had a Centurion DD, sold it due to the downturn in the economy but he maintains he was happy with his Centurion. He now acts as second mate on another friend's Response LXI silver edition, which is the best looking boat on the planet in my opinion. That works great as these two families are best friends for 15 years.

It is from their typhoon and I am sure the wake is very good...just not very clean.

+1

My friend just bought the 2010 photoshoot 23LSV. He claimed he could get a decent surfing wake out of it with standard ballast. Big enough to push me, a 190#er around without a rope.

He was right.

Throw a fat sac in the locker and some VAB and that wake will be epic. The wakeboarding wake is incredible. You will NEVER ever need anything more than what it produces. Best in class.

Fit, finish, value, = Malibu.
