Can someone save my marriage

I need help from my 'Bu buds.

Years ago, my wife & I skied about 5 days a week and skied in regional tourneys. My wife was the trophy hound, always coming home with hardware. She skied on a Camille Duvall era O'brien TRC, that was her baby. Well, trying to be a good husband, I bought her a new KD and sold her TRC, she hated the KD. We got pregnant and quit skiing on a course until this summer, so I researched and bought her a new ski. She doesn't like the D3 that I purchased, so I'm looking for HELP!!

Does anyone have a old Obrien TRC sitting in their storeroom or attic that they will never use? I'm looking for a 65" somewhere in the 1988 year model.

Can anyone bail me out of a jam? I'd be willing to pay top $$ if one of these relics is still around.

thanks

Kirk

Not sure if this is right (I'm not a slalom guy, yet) and I'm not sure if they would ship but worth looking into.

That is the right ski, just not the right year. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the TRC went into a slide and they used the name on some intermediate type skis in the late 90's. The ski I'm looking for is Black with gold trim, sort of like a Smokey & the Bandit Trans Am...... now you know how old I am!!

Well I guessed my dad's age (50) and your profile says I was pretty close!!

Good Luck in your search!

Is this the black and gold TRC with the gold plates? I have a 66" with two rear plates (full wrap & open toe plates), and even the matching O'brien ski bag (with busted zipper) that I could probably part with...

The bindings are size medium...

 thats so awesome. i hope you have success finding the ski. However, im sure your wife would be able to fall in love with a modern ski that will be worlds apart from that old classic.

Didn't sound like it. Sounds like she is about to revoke his man card for giving her old baby away without proper authorization and she hated the newer technology. Women.

I have a TRC with full wraps...not sure of the length and year, but it's a late 80s model. Will check it out this weekend and take a pic. Use to run a course back in the day behind a neightbors 2001, oh to be young again.

The black/gold TRC was the only ski that I loved right out of the box. Jump on it and go. We had 3 of them in different setups at the camp for 3 of us to ski on. I sold mine and got a Synergy, but I think they still have at least one of the other two still there. If someone wants a 65" Synergy with medium high wraps I've got one.

Hey, sometimes you know what you like & sometimes you like what you know. And that doesn't just apply to skis. ;)

I can't wait to see my lady's face when I show her the new/old ski. Thanks everyone for the help! Except Peter, I'm not going to show my wife his post about what a great ski.... I hear that one enough already!!

Now I can pull out my old Camille Duvall poster and put it up in the garage. Yahoo.gif

Sounds like it is working out for you.

I learned quickly that if the wife's equipment is working for her. Don't change a thing. It rarely works out.

My wife is on an old CDX, that I wouldn't sell for a whole lineup of the new carbon ski's for her to try.

Your missing out. ;)

She had an instructional skiing book. I spent days reading it years ago. If anyone comes across a copy, treasure it dearly...

k_b really came through for me!

Check's in the mail and ski is headed across the Mississippi as we speak!!

The Family "Bu" is the best. Maybe we could start a falsetto singing group, like the Brothers Gibb...?
