What oil drain kit for '94 Echelon w/GM Mercruiser 350?

Recommended Posts

Is the oil drain plug a 1/2"-20 size?

Believe the mercruiser 32-865277A02 works as should a Hardin Marine 620-242179

The dang thing is the schematics at marine parts express shows a 805505A 1 in the parts listings...but that doesn't come up anywhere. What I find on other sites with that same sequence of numbers is drain kit ending 32-805505A 3

Thanks for the assistance!

Not exactly sure what you are after here, I am going to assume you do not have the drain hose attached to the actual drain plug. I think what you could actually do is get a standard GM oil drain plug and simply drill the center and attach a hose via some plumbing and get the job done that way. The actual hose is same as fuel line hose and is about 5' long. Mine "stores" itself by winding up the backside of the engine and lying along the left cylinder head / intake manifold and has a hook that attaches it to the front end of the head area. It simply has a 1/4" pipe plug to allow for a drain. You can easily get all that stuff at an auto parts store. Use a 90 degree fitting at the oil pan. You just drop the hose through the hull plug in front of the enging to drain the oil.

That oil drain assembly should work, but most Malibu's I have seen came with that oil drain assembly already on the oil pan for those years.

What I'm looking for is the adapter and hose kit that replaces the oil pan drain plug so it's easier to change oil out hull drain hole. And nope, mine doesn't have one from factory or OEM...

Just need to know if oil pan drain plug is 1/2" threads...believe that to be case and many kits on market $20 and up.
