Wedge Issues

Here is the issue -the Wedge worked fine last weekend. The boat has been in my marina slip the past couple weeks. I went out last night for a rip with the boys. When the boat sits I only run 1 battery as I get pretty good battery drain - not sure if that is normal. Anyways moved Perko switch to both batteries started boat - had low voltage indicator come on. Went out selected Wakeboard Advance and noticed that the wedge wasn’t moving. I tried to calibrate and no numbers moving when going down, tried wedge up and numbers moved but not as much as normal. Then noticed on the wedge icon that it was not even showing up on the screen. You could see the platform and the amount of wedge indicator however that picture of the actual wedge did not show up. We turned the boat off switched the perko switch to no batteries then back. Checked the fuse - it appeared ok. Took it home and doubled checked on the multi meter. I wasn’t sure on the black piece that apparently pops up and you can reset as I was sure how far out it came. Anyways it appears the fuse is ok and reset.

So it would appear that the boat is not recognizing the wedge and I would assume this is due to a connection coming loose? I would really like to get the wedge working - the wake isn't quite the same without it. Any suggestions

I'm no help here, but I thought you were losing your mind talking about an auto wedge on an 89' Sunsetter.

I am of no help here either, but I have an 09 VTX that is experiencing similar problems with the Auto Wedge. I posted a very similar topic two weeks ago and got no where. I talked to the mechanic where I bought the boat and even called directly down to Malibu. I still have not found a solution, but my wedge actually does not come up to the desired setting if it actually comes up from the fully down position at all, so you are better off than I am.

Problem fixed. I contacted the dealership, Wizard Lake Marine where I purchased the boat and spoke with the service manager on Saturday monring at 9:30 and by 11:30 he arrived at the lake 1.5 hrs away to replace my defective power module (i think this is what it was called) and adjusted the sensor on the wedge. Pretty amazing service, I thought I would have to take the boat to the dealership and wait at least a week for the repair. Now I am back in business and didnt have to drive to the dealership. Thanks Wizard Lake!!
