How's your hatch?

Seems like this issue may have been brought up before?

Here is what we did.

Also found a better off the shelf bracket after we installed ours.

Looks great, where did you get the new bracket? Did you change the size of the screws?

Had Laser Cutting Services in Tualatin Oregon burn them out of 304 stainless.

CLM welding here in Lebanon OR welded them.

Used the same size screw #12 x 3/4 SHARX screws.

Mine just broke the bottom bracket this weekend. Anyone know where to get SS brackets.

Look at the Ameritool website.

They have a bracket that is called a 5 hole bracket. (actually 7 holes)

Less than $5 each but they have a $50 minimum order.

Maybe one of the dealers should place an order and resell them?

Or Members could pool an order?

I have to believe anyone with the two big engine covers has or will need to replace theirs.

Both sides of mine have come out as well. I may have the welder at a plant I work at make me some larger plates out of stainless. If you just use the existing and cut a plate to weld around it it should work fine.

McMaster-Carr has the lower brackets. Mine had a 10mm ball.

I would hope this would be warranty for the problems on your '07's. Mine came loose over the summer on my '08 but I just moved the bracket and so far so good. Didn't look like the factory spends much time lining those things up as they are very different alignments on both sides. Quality control has been lacking on this '08 compared to my '02 Sunscape I'm sorry to say.

I had to move one of mine too Mike, but it didnt last and I made sure it was lined up well. Now trying to figure a way to fix it again. I guess if I cant, I can wait until we arent using the boat for awhile and take it in.
