It looks like Tige is getting Maliview with a touchscreen (probably had to have something with a "T" in it for alliteration)

I'm not sure a touchscreen would be good for an application with water. Whenever I use my laptop touchpad or something like that with a wet finger, it goes bazeerk. I'm also not sure if I'd want to touch any kind of screen with a wet finger, maybe it's just me though.

Here's a link to the place I heard about it

Just one more electric gadget to fail in marine conditions. Very risky. I'm sure the mechanics at their dealerships are just thrilled.

LOL...you think Maliview was the first control system based on a screen in a boat, think again Malibu just copied it from another boat manufacture and adapted it to their boat.

I don't think I said Maliview was the first. I think it was the first to incorporate it into the inboard market and certainly was the first to incorporate it with rider presets (which is what the article referred to quite a bit).

If I'm missing something, let me know. I really don't research the entire history of all boat manufacturers before posting an informational item on the threads.

You don't? Shame on you! I thought everyone did that first!

Seems like a lame place for cup holders in my opinion. I can just see people climbing in soaking wet dripping lake water into a drink.

Other than that, looks cool. Good spot for the screen.

Does anyone else think most boat dashes are all cluttered up compared to the Malibu's? I love the form of my 07. Everything makes sense. Stuff like that Mastercraft looks crazy. Switches and gauges all over the dang place. Just doesn't look clean at all.

Malibu Was not first to the market with LCD's but they were first to development. Medallion spent twice the time on Maliview compared to early release V-dig.

Malibu was very accomidationg to Medallion when they needed something changed in the boat to make the system as a whole function. Mastercraft said "here are your paramaters, make it work"

Touchscreen was an option, but very quickly scrapped as fingerprints show up on glass in the sunlight.
