Looking to hook up with Malibu owners at deep creek lake md... anyone out there?

I'm at Deep Creek most weekends but opted to go with a new Nautique 216v last week instead of the VLX I was looking at. I'm now probably banned from this site, SORRY.

I'm not an Admin, but there is no way you would be banned for owning a non Malibu. One thing I like about this site is that other brand owners are welcomed. Ok perhaps ribbed a bit from time to time, but still very welcome.

I know....my statement was meant light heartily.

I really was ready to pull the trigger on a VLX but the dealer made me a great offer of the 216v that I could not pass it up. I went to the Malibu dealer looking for a '08 VLX but by the time I got there is was gone. They are also a Nautique dealer and things just happened.

How do you like the 216V?

To soon to really tell but after only 5 hours on the boat I'm very happy with the purchase. The ride is incredible compared to my '86 Mastercraft. The boat is very comfortable and lots of power. I really like how fast it comes up on plane. I plan to be a long time customer of the dealer I purchased from so who knows, the next boat may be a 23 LSV.

I grew up on Deep Creek, when it was a great lake to ski/board on. Nowadays, you couldn't pay me to go there to ski/board. We do return once a year for an annual camping trip. It's unfortunate that it so over populated/ over boated. Unless you are there on a Monday-Thursday, good luck finding smooth water....that being said, I miss it dearly. If you live on the lake it's a different place than if you on go there on the weekends.....have a drink for me at the Honi the next time you are there....

We do all of our serious wakeboarding/skiing early morning, 6-8 am, or just before sunset. Other than that, your are correct, to many boats on a small lake. And to top it off, to many boat drivers that do not know what they are doing. We were just at the Honi this past Saturday. It's still going strong and still overcharging.
