Looking at a 1999 Response LX

I am looking at a 1999 Response LX with the Indmar 310hp carb motor. I need a do-it-all boat.

I primarily barefoot, so how fast will this boat be with a footer and what is the barefoot wake like?

Wife is a slalom skier, I'm sure the slalom wake is adequate.

Kids barefoot, slalom ski, and wakeboard. With a fat sac and fly high, will it put up an adequate wake?

Any know problems or concerns with the 1999 I should be aware of?

Thanks for any and all input!

I just picked up on 2001 Response LX. IThis is the 5th tournament boat I've owned and I absolutely love this boat. Perfect do-it-all boat for my family except for surfing. Some say you can add enough ballast to surf behind a Response but I have not been willing to use up floor space by adding sacks. If the one you are looking at is the open bow, I've found the step over through the windshield to not be a problem but I leave my Bimini top off if I know we are going to have folks riding up front because it is cumbersome to climb through with Bimini. I picked up a 10-ft pole off E-bay and add it when the kids want to wakeboard. The boat spends most of time pulling skiers so I like being able to add the pole when needed. Had a tower on previous boat and I find the 10 ft pole to be less hassle IMHO.
