Minor but very annoying!

Hey all,

My bu has 2 hinged seats that are driving me crazy... the one over the built in ice chest and another on the opposite end. As soon as new people are on board, I tell them to step squarely on the seat or the cushion will flip and they will probably fall. I am always worried someone will get hurt... like roll an ankle or if they step there when loading or unloading a board... they could seriously hurt someone (or my new board!!!).

I searched around but couldn't find the right combination of search words... has anyone done a mod to be able to latch down these 2 seats? I even have eyeballed it and thought of reversing the hinges somehow... so the seats flip open toward the outside of the boat. But it's probably not possible without some sort of fancy euro hinge.

Like I said... minor... BUT ANNOYING! HELP!?!?!?

What about getting some velcro? The only bad part about that is once it gets wet, it may not hold quite as well.

My shoe locker (under back middle seat) and cooler both hinge into the boat, but we have never had any problems w/ people falling. I did have a seam split tho, so I'm more careful now about stepping down - perhaps that's part of it.

EZ fix

No one is allowed to step in the seats as this tears the seats up.

If they must then they need to board from the bow.

But best is for them to board from the swim deck then take off their flippy floppies and crawl into the cabin area.

The only time people step on these seats is to pull wakeboards on an off of the racks (non swiveling). I thought the only way to get the boards on/off safely was to step on the seats???
