It all finally clicked for my youngest daughter this past weekend.  She's been really close for awhile but just couldn't quite get it.  We battled strong winds the first three lake trips but she was able to get in some good surf time the last two trips.  This past weekend she improved dramatically and looked like she'd been surfing for years.  She even moved up from our beginner board to my Model X.  She now says it's her board!

My middle kid (now 18) stopped by to help eat our chicken.  We uncovered the boat and had dinner, didn't even lower it off the lift.  He pulled up with a friend and the teak was at the perfect height.

Here he is again, a walk-on for the Muskegon Community College soccer team, pretty impressive.

Daughter just painted this in 2 days. It was from a picture taken in Jamaica from the owner. Canvas wall was about 10' by 20'.

His favorite thing to do on the water, even though he is skiing and wakeboarding now(kinda), which in turn has made it my favorite thing to do too.

Our 1st is almost 3 and has surfed with me a couple times so far this summer.  Shes been in swimming lessons since 6 months old which has actually made it difficult because she is fearless in the water.

My middle kid again, I love this picture from yesterday.  He plays with determination and is fearless.  He got his first goal Saturday with a header from a far corner cross, it was amazing.  This play ended up with the guy in white trying to shield my son from the ball and let it cross his chest to the ground. From there he thought he would get a foot on it and sprint past Ryan, but Ryan turned and was right on top of him, shoulder to shoulder and it was a foot race down the sideline. It ended with us gaining possession, it was great defense.  He plays right mid.

Apparently, my 7 yr old just needed the push of his older brother being successful. He tried and failed over the weekend. He was so frustrated, so we snuck out to a local spot after work. As you can see by the smile, he was very pleased with himself.

yes!..she's actually slalomed since she was 6 but couldn't deepwater up behind the boat (could on boom).  Although she was happy, daddy was prouderer!  Especially since most of her friends do nothing but tube.  Had to explain my "no tube" rule to multiple parents around the lake.  My kids know there is "No tubing allowed until you've skied, boarded, helped with yard work...then, you can tube"....I may be scrooge I think.  One Dad actually said "won't it be nice once they're old enough to do something other than tube like kneeboard?"   Should have seen his face when I told him every one of mine learned to wakeboard by 4!

Ironically, my 6 year old is a better wakeboarder than my 8 and 10 year old.  Keeping an eye on her.

My 11 yr old daughter and 9 yr old son.  Love it.  Skiing, kneeboarding, barefooting, wake boarding.  They love it all.   They are curious too about trick skiing.   Gonna send them to a week long kids ski camp next summer.  They cant wait for next summer.
