My 13 year old driver and her friend (gulp).  After a boating safety class and a LOT of instruction by me, I let her loose into the world.  She was allowed idle speed only, and in a radius that I could see her from the dock (about a third of our 450 acre lake).  She did well!  We have a full development plan with incremental milestones, to make her a great driver.

My kids are finally getting the passion for this stuff (except for the middle one, who works daily at a marina so he gets home and just wants to veg inside).  Wake boarding and footing 4 to 5 times a week now!  

I think we are outgrowing this little boat and will be on the hunt for a v-drive.

Kids are at least half the reason I enjoy boating!  Having grown up behind the boat, it is so much fun passing it on.  9 year old son joined the no rope club this last weekend and hasn't stopped talking about it since.

One joined the rope less club this year and the other is popping up all on his own now without help. I used to have to sit on the platform and steady his board, have the wife go into gear and let the rope slide out.  Now he grabs the rope and goes.  Crazy proud of them both.

I enjoy the kids learning the responsibility of driving the boat.  teaches them to stay focused, pay attention to more than one thing at a time.

We just spent 3 weeks in Scotland getting used to the horse that Cassidy will use in Ermelo, Netherlands.  We arrive in Amsterdam two days ago and had a day off to go tour the city.  Today we head to the Venue to help unload and set up the horses in the new stalls.  My daughter and the rest of Team Canada have to move into the athletes hotel today and my wife, daughter and I will stay elsewhere and hopefully get some more touring done between practices.  I will post some training pics later.

How did I forget about this thread!  

Some pics from me and the boy's first surf session.  He's gone a few times now and loves it.  My legs on the other hand are indifferent, at best.  Awesome every time though.  He's only 3.5, so I'm assuming by the time he's 6 he'll be out-surfing me bad.

Found out Sunday we are going to have our second grand child in May. We had a party for our two year old grandson. My son and his wife and family were watching our grandson open presents and the last one was a baby shark T  that said Baby shark and brother. It took my wife some time to catch on.

Our daughter Katelyn is 8.  She finally learned to go ropeless this summer, riding my wife's Victoria Debut.

Just starting to learn to drive the boat.  Let's just say it was open area with no one around and me watching carefully!

She also earned her 1st Decided black belt.  She is actually wearing my wife's belt (wife and I are both 1st Senior black belts) as 1st Decided is where you get the striped, thick black belt with your name and it takes a couple weeks to come in.

My oldest, just turned 21.  He made the University of Michigan boxing team welter weight division last fall.  Started on the B team.  Lots of sparring, made the A team after the holidays.  Promptly got a concussion.  Recovered, started training again, and then has his first fight last weekend.  The team drove to Virginia in a 10 hour car ride, then loosened up in the gym, then the scheduled fights began.

Two standing 8 counts later, he emerges as the winner.  If he had one more 8 count on the other guy it would have been ruled a TKO.  UofM swept Virginia, wish I could have been there to see it.  Someone has video so that will be cool to watch.  His mom freaked out at this pic, to which he replied "It's OK mom, most of that blood is not mine."

Well, corona virus has shut down our loacl hill ending our season a couple weeks early.  Super proud of our 4 year old.  She worked hard to be able to ride the chair lift and is charging now on blue square runs.  This video shows one of her last runs of the season and one of her bigger wipe outs (she was fine).  I was sort of glad she fell because she was getting a little too brave heading too fast into a jump and fell before she got to it.
