Perfect Pass

I recently installed a new jumbo screen touch pad for my Perfect Pass speed control system but the buttons lock up sometimes and the system becomes unresponsive. When it works its great but when it doesn't it is very frustrating. Perfect Pass has good tech support but now they say I should re-mount the DBW box vertically so the micro chip stays properly connected........? Has anyone had similar issues?

When you turn the system on does it sometimes just have a blank screen and beep constantly?

Mine has been doing that on occasion and I have my box mounted upside down. How is your box mounted?

No the skier comes across the screen every time and the speed is picking up fine but the buttons go dead. For example, if the PP System is on and the buttons lock I can't accelerate past 34mph. My DBW box is also mounted upside down and I guess the chip can move out of its position if the boat hammers waves......which it does.

ZAD - There is/should be a relay to help address the black screen & beeping issue. It's the size of the connector (can't remember which one, but it's a wider connector 3/4" or so) & the relay is about 1" long.

It was included with my PP system at the beginning of last year (May).

It doesn't fully remove the issue, but took it from happening once every few starts to once every few hundred starts.

My master module is mounted with the connectors up on the walkway wall by my feet.
