247 Surf Sac IS HERE!!!!!

After about four weeks of working with Zack at Bakes Marine the 247 Surf Sac is here. I live in texas and Zack is in Washington, we were able to work together on this as Zack has 247's at his disposal and of course of i have mine. this was extremely important when i came to measurements. the results of the sac are amazing. pre 247 Surf Sac i would put a 750 on the seat and a 750 on the floor next to the seat. because the sac holds so much weight we have eliminated the 750 on the floor and are just putting a 750 on the seat. we have one additional 440 sac in the walk through. we only have four people on the boat this weekend, but with a larger crew we would not need the 750 on the seat. therefore with a large crew our play pen will have one 440 sac in the walk through and throw a monster wave. i cant thank Zack enough!!! the crew it bakes is the shiznizwizzle fashow. eat your heart out ENZO. by the way the sac is plumbed in and fills and drains at the flip of a switch in about 15 minutes.

our new surf configuration

247 Surf Sac 1500 Lbs - rear locker and under seat in front of rear locker

Fly high tube sac of 450 under seat nearest batteries

Fly high 440 in walk through

Factory LR Center Front Full

Speed 11-14 MPH depending on

i have attached a jpeg of the sac.

if you have any questions about your boat ever contact the guys at bakesmarine they are the most friendly and most willing to work with you people of have dealt with ever on any issue i have had with the four malibus we have owned over the years. i wish i lived in washington so these guys could take care of my boat bakes is the best!!!! and zack is a real pleasure to work with. SAC IT OUT!!!!!

The photos are with the surf sac full, a 370 fly high tube sac under the seat nearest batteries, and a four hundred pound sac in the walk through. there are five people in the boat. other than the four hundred pound sac in the walk through there are no other visible sacks. my photographer did not do the best job with these pix and i will post more. these DO NOT GIVE THE WAVE ITS DUE CREDIT.

These are the first four pics more in next post.

more pics these show the four pump system i have installed on the boat. two of the pumps fill and drain the "247 Surf Sac" and the 370 Pound tube, the ones you see pouring water over the side of the boat are used to fill and drain the 750 we put on the seat when we have a really small crew i.e. the wife and i. i also use the longer hose to fill the four hundred pound sac in the walk through. i dont think the wave needs the 750 on the seat even with a small crew. momma begs to differ, and if momma aint happy well you know the rest........

I must be missing something, if you had the sac built to fit like an enzo sac, does it not go all the way to the batt? Why have the extra 370# sac under the seat?

the problem with stepping up to a 247 is you gain a divider between your seats on the left side of the boat. so you can put it in the in the rear left locker and under the seat in front of that until you get to the small bulk head between the two seats.

gottcha, I would assume then that the bulk head could not be removed?

yes you are correct. i wish the bulkhead was not there but a tube sac takes care of that just fine.

I've got the devider to and looks like the same setup you do. Did you have a sac made? What are the demensions of it and weight? I have the exact setup you do with a 750 in the locker and the 370# under the seats there and it is about 2" short of the divider on my boat.

yes the sac is custom and called the "247 Surf Sac" it is not the enzo sac. please read my original posting of this thread. www.bakesonline.com talk to zack clark, they are the best to do this because they are also a bu dealer and probably have your boat on their lot so that you can compare measurements.

thank you very much for saying so. i started this quest to show that a 247 wave will compete with the enzo wave without sacs all over the damned seats and play pen. i think i have succeeded.

I would not want to hit that roller.

we swamped the back of an air nautique and of course promptly apologized, and we watched a guy do a back flip out of a tube.

Do you use any wedge? Correct me if im wrong, but the enzo wave in the 23lsv thread still looks much larger.

my wife rocks the wedge and it makes the wave steeper and taller. i like a long tubular wave so i ride without it. also i think the camera angle is making the wave look bigger in the thread you speak of. my wife and i have ridden both waves and they do rival each other. however i do not think the enzo wave is bigger than the 247, the mrs. also agrees. your boat is capable of throwing a wave as big as the the enzo. you just need a custom sac made to fit your boat and the proper amount of speed.

I have plenty of weight, 3150lbs. Just trying to fine tune where to put it. Right now ive been putting:

750 rear locker

750 x 2 on surf side seat

500 on floor next to them

400 up front

Anyway even with all that weight we still havent gotten a wave that would compete with the enzo.

REALLY? you mean this picture with the back of the boat in it?

enzo_sv240.jpg

Have a look at the picture below, taken at the same place, do you see a camera angle more than horizontal?
