Blacked out the Bu.

Well I finally got around to tinting the windows on the boat. I went with 5% and I think it looks pretty good. We removed the windshields which was a pretty simple task except for the 2 thru bolts they used on each windshield. Not quite sure why they even bothered doing this. Dontknow.gif After the winshields were removed we pulled all of the glass out of the frames. This was a little more tedious task but none the less it made for a much cleaner install of the tint. My buddy who tints windows for a living had all the glass done in about 2hrs. Once it was dry enough we put the glass back in the frames and re-installed the windhields on the boat. He then promptly spouted off how he should of charged me more than just the cost of materials. ROFL.gif After it was all said and done we had about 5hrs and a 1/2 case of beer invested into the project. I must say I earned a lot of respect for anyone who tints windows, especially boats!

Some boats just scream for tint. Yours is one of those.

Thanks! I was a little nervous about it changing the way the boat looked to drastically but I think I made the right choice.

What is the benfit for tinted window? Dontknow.gif

Looks!

I did my next-to-last Flighty. It was the best looking machine I ever owned. Couldn't see a dang thing through the windshield, since the sunlight was the same brightness on both sides of the glass...whereas in a car it's darker inside, and you can see out. While it looked great, I would not do it again.

Looks good!

Since you took off all of the decals, why not remove the warning sticker on the transom?

lol......... Dontknow.gif laziness i guess. It'll be coming off today. Thanks for pointing that out.

Looks hot, but I don't think I'd go that dark for what we use our boat for. We do lots of cold water skiing where you sit back behind the windscreen and appreciate it. No need for blind spots when picking up downed riders or trying to line up a run down the slalom course.
