Speedometer won't adjust slower just faster, please help!

Recommended Posts

I have a 2003 wakesetter vlx with perfect pass and the analog speedometer. I think one of my kids messed with the analog speedometer because now it reads 50 mph when the perfect pass (and GPS) reads about 30 mph. I have tried to adjust it per the owner's manual (which gives little detail) and it only gets faster and faster. Can anyone tell me if I am doing it wrong. The manual suggests just pushing the calibration switch up or down. Up works. Down doesn't. If I hold it down too long all of the analog dials move to zero. I can't figure it out. Please help.

You may need a new momentary switch. About $15 IIRC from the dealer, and simple to swap out. I had to change mine out because of the same problem you describe (less the holding it down till the gauges go to zero part)

Thanks, I will buy it and see if it works.
