Trailer repair question

Recommended Posts

02-Scape

I have an extreme trailer and the (I don't know what they are called) boards that are wraped in outdoor carpet that support the boat are starting to break. I want to replace them .. are they just plain old 2X4's - I'm thinking of using pressure treated wood. Anything else to worry about when doing this?

Got one also cheap carpet, cheap bunk boards, moister in the led lights, trailer seems to be built well, however it makes you wonder if they skimp on the final trim!

Bunks should be treated 2" x 6"s. When applying new carpeting it is best to use stainless steel staples.

When I redid my bunks, I used pressure-treated 2x6 and instead of carpet, used a product called Bunkaps: http://www.bunkaps.com/

So far I've been fairly pleased by them.
