MMDC Enter Button Not Working

'01 Sunsetter LXi. The MMDC "E" button stopped working. For a couple of trips, it would work, but you had to push it real hard to get it to register. Now, nothing. Any ideas on how to fix it? Considering replacing with the analog mutli-guage.

Also, the low depth alarm comes on when I turn the engine on, even when its 20+' deep. Not a problem as long as the E button works to clear the alarm. Any idea what's going on with this thing?
