Wakesurf Board Recommendations

I'm a new boat owner, and haven't yet tried wakesurfing (want to badly). Given I'm new, I don't want to spend a ton of money on a new board until I've gotten good enough to warrant the $ outflow. My preference would be to find something used, but I have no idea what to look for.

I'm 175 lbs, wife is 115lbs so I would think we need something versatile as well as easy to learn on.

Any ideas on what I should get, any ideas where to look (other than eBay, Craigslist).

As far as you and your wife using the same board, you both can lean on the same board for a while but she will want a much smaller board then you with the difference in weight. (once you guys get better)

I also have a Broadcast 5'6" that i will be posting up soon for sale. another good board for you both to learn on. Again it will be more fun for you then her because of the wieght.

another place to look is www.wakeoutlaws.com people post boards for sale over there and they sell new when you are ready.

First try your friends board(s). My first board was the CWB 66" board (cant remember the name of it), it's a great board for even big guys to learn on, but beware once you get it, you will want something more fun.

This can easily be learned on and you can skip the big heavy board http://smedwakesurfing.com/AboutUs.html, scroll down, he has a couple of boards for sale.

They are fast in the water when you want them to be and can cruise just as easily, very responsive! I dont have the CWB anymore and everyone learns on this board now (the Wombat).

call the guys at wake outlaws www.wakeoutlaws.com they have more boards than any body i know of and can speak to the style of board you need to best meet your riding conditions.
