Dinged Prop

I dinged the prop last night coming into the dock last night. Probably needs replaced.

How do I find the part number? Which manufacturer's the best?

I'm seeing prop pullers for $62. I'm pretty mechanical, should I go that direction or I leave this one to the boat shop?

Where should I buy the prop from?

I would recommend going with ACME or OJ as a manufacturer. Are you happy with the way the stock prop performed? If so, it's probably an ACME 537 (13.5 x 16), which you'll be able to confirm once you pull it off. If you're running a lot of ballast and would like more hole shot, there's several options from both of those manufacturers.

If your happy with your prop, pull it off and send it to be fixed. It will probably cost around $80-$100. That's what my last one was. It's an OJ.

Spend a few minutes searching the site. There are a lot of discussions on props, which prop to use etc. And yes, you should get a prop puller. There are discussions on that topic also. As mentioned, pretty much everyone at TMC is going with OJ or ACME.
