OK, I have the manual and so I am confident I can do all the fluid and filter swaps but I will ask some simple question. Any preferences on brands of filters and where to get them? I need to get it done so need to find stuff locally, I am in Phoenix.

Any tips on the routine maintenance? EDIT, after looking at the manual, it was almost no help at all.

Should I have a spare impeller? I know on other boats they are prone to failing.

Recommed for plugs?

I use synthetic oils, any hang ups here? Any suggestions on drive line oil? Royal Purple?

Compounds for cutting and buffing the gel

Sand paper and grits from start to finish to rehab the swim platform and oil or seal to finish with

I have a brand new prop, the old one looks fine, but its not perfect, should I swap them and keep the used one as the spare to max performance and enjoyment of the boat?

Previous owner did not have the rear cushion, is it just a cushion or is there a frame underneath it? He says he will try to find it, but not holding my breath and want to deal with it right away.

Is there a DIY on trailer service? Its a tandem with surge brakes. I don't think it has that many miles on it, but its older and been sitting. It trailered well but was a little jerky on start stops.

Any other pearls of wisdom are much appreciated!!!

TIA

Doug

Doug,

Last I knew ... wait until 100 hours until hours until you switch to synthetic.

Next two links list different teak products ... I love the product in the 3rd link - Gotta to!

OK this morning I changed the oil and filter and used synthetic oil to fill. I drained and replaced the gear box oil. Changed spark plugs, changed ignition wires, installed new distributor cap and a new rotor. Full tune up minus the fuel filter.

I am now told by the PO that he does not have the rear seat cushion so that is now at the top of the list.
