Binding Advice

I currently ride an 06 Hyperlite Imperial that I like, but hate the bindings (they are a 2004 or 2005 model year) and know that they have progressed a lot in the past 5 or so years.

I would like something that is really supportive and stiff...and if possible still comfortable. I don't care if they are hard to get into, I just don't want my toes going numb or anything like that. I don't have a preference of CT vs. OT bindings, I just want to get something that is secure and supportive. Also, I would like to look at last years stuff since it's a lot cheaper and I don't need the latest or greatest.

The closest shop is an hour away so I will most likely just be buying on-line and making my decisions based off of recommendations and reviews.

Thanks!

Hyperlite Murray/Premiere. Super easy to get into, hold great and super comfy. Plus they're closed toe so they're warm on the footsie.

Open toe, I purchased some leftover CWB Factions for RJ over the winter. Very nice & comfy for him, good support, & with the rear hinge system it's very easy in & out. Closed toe, I purchased the CWB Answer for Joe. Same thing, comfy, good support & easy in/out. If you go with the Hinge, make sure to get the one that locks down (upper end stuff), not up (mid to lower end stuff). Looks like Wakeside & Buywake has some on closeout from last year:

CWB Answer

CWB Faction (looks like limited sizing though)

CWB Zeus (a step up from the Answer)

Not sure what size you wear, but there are other options out there. And don't forget to check the discounts section before you order. ;)

I upgraded to last years model of the Ronix Relik (close toe). I love them. Mold to your feet, great support, and I can ride all day without my feet cramping. You can pick them up for around $150 - $180.

Ooo, forgot about Ronix. I'm going with the Rise at the end of this season (when I can get the current model on closeout). The One binding is the men's version & is very nice. Not as easy in/out as the Hinge that the CWBs have, but very comfy with great support. The Cell, Kai & Relik would also be good choices. I really like Ronix for their CS, they really support their product well.

I just switched from the CWB Zeus to the Ronix Cell (closed toe) and I love them. Heat molded, very comfortable, super supportive, and light weight.
