Dash Light replacement- help needed

Recommended Posts

Boat is a '05 Wakesetter 23LSV

The red bulb for the tach is no longer working, I took a quick look from under the dash and beside a very crowded bunch of stuff, I don't see anything obvious as to where the bulb is or how to get at it....

So how do you change this bulb out?

thanks,

bob

spent the last 4 days at Billy Chinook (Oregon) and had a blast, wife and 2 boys all wakeboarded for the 1st time and did great. Me? I still have room for improvement Dontknow.gif

Sorry to reply to my own question, but I still haven't found the secret to fixing this bulb. I have not been back in the boat lately to look closer at this. I did see one thread that mentioned removing the Malibu emblem in the dash and that will allow the whole instrument panel to pull out. Is this the secret magic?

Thanks-

Bob

BTW- What length(size) of a wakeboard should I be using, I'm 6'-4", 250 and have never wakeboarded (yet).

For the wakeboard - 141+.

I'm 6'2", 240 & have been on boards between 136 & 147. There aren't many boards bigger than 141 or 142 around.

Proper form is more part of getting up than board size. The same technique from the board works pretty well on a 110cm wakeskate too. (It was what was in the boat).

I don't think the bulbs can be replaced, you have to replace the guage. Same is true with the digital display.

Ouch, that isn't what I was hoping to hear. Really? There is no bulb to swap out? Hmmmm. There's gotta be something I can replace in there....
