Ballast pump on 2000 VLX WS

Hey everyone, looking for a little help. I have a ballast pump on my 2000 VLX in the belly/bow of the boat walk through. Was wondering do they usually use some type of sealant when putting those in? I can't get it out at all. Not much room in there but was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on how to get it out with out breaking it. I would like to replace it with a larger pump and do a small ballast setup to put some vdrive bags in. Thanks for any suggestions.

I think the actual pump sits in a platic housing and attached by a clip on both long sides. Once you have the pump out I think the housing is screwed to the hull. I'm not sure if there's any sealant there or not, but I doubt it.

There's probably silicone around the threads. Just twist a little harder, you're gonna replace it anyways, right?
