Shower pump

Put in shower and it will not put out much pressure, and only hot to boot. I went to the local plumbing store and have made up a shower Y that I will put in against the flow(before raw water pump) to allow more cold flow. The pump vibrates like a RV pump does, but just for a second, then it just purrs quietly. I know these pumps are supposed to be noisy......am I correct? It is new from heatercraft, and has done this right from the install. Does anyone think this could be an easy fix, or a warranty replacement on the pump.

noisy w vibration is true. my wag is that the motor shaft is spinning free of the bushing that spins the pump.

pump is easy to break down. just take it slow.
