Can anyone post pictures of the prop guard on a aluminum trailer and of the trailer itself.

Went to pick up our new trailer and several things are all wrong...most important the prop guard is not there. So I need pictures of other trailers to compare and describe to the guy how I want it built

Anyone who has purchased a aluminum trailer I need any advice you are willing to share, I feel like I am not getting the trailer I should be and I want to compare to other trailers. I'll post some pics tomorrow but I need photos of other trailers to compare and take notes so that I know what to tell the guy who is building it next time I meet with him.

I explain and will tell the whole story tomorrow needless to say I am not a happy camper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mad.gif

Anyone who has pics of a aluminum trailer please post pictures I desperaterly need them.

How mad I was when I saw the trailer ----->>>> Blowup.gif

Where did you buy your trailer?

We are in Austin, but sell some boats to coastal areas from time to time. We have had great experience with McClain Trailers in Houston. Talk to Dwayne there. The prop gaurd for an inboard is a pretty standard option. Every trailer we have done with them has the prop gaurd and they will fit it for you to make sure all the bunks are in the right spot and height.

Let us know how it turns out.

my first question is why buy an aluminum trailer? these boats are heavy and if you are going to tow any distance, I would be looking at a steel trailer. Much stronger, easier to weld... yes, they weigh a little more, but for the strength, I would always go with steel.

my 2004 steel trailer is a mess of corrosion. we ski if the pond isn't frozen. salt on the icy roads had made my trailer a sick puppy. i'm in the market for an aluminum replacement.

edited for typo.
