2003 Wakesetter LSV with LS1 Engine Troubles

Recommended Posts

I'm new to the forum. Just purchased the boat from the dealer used. The boat is a 2003 Waksetter LSV with LS1 Corvette Engine. The boat has 240 hrs on it and I used it for one hour before the boat died while pulling a boarder. The more gas I gave it, the weaker the boat got and then eventually died. The boat will start but won't turn over. I believe it is a fuel pump problem. Any suggestions or has anyone had this problem with their LS1 engine. Thanks!

Good advice so far ... tad bit confused about your statement "The boat will start but won't turn over" then again I'm easily confused.

Does the gas you use have ethanol in it? Thanks

Something similar happened to me on the weekend. Was cruising along at about 30 MPH. All of a sudden my boat went putt putt putt for 15-30 seconds then died. It would turn over but wouldn't start. Was thinking it was a fuel pump or fuel filter initially. A mechanic put a new ignition module in last night and that was the problem.

Thanks for all the info. I cleaned the air filter and got the boat started. Still raining so I haven't tested it on the lake but in neutral the RPM's rev like champs! I think the problem is solved! Thanks.
