Where to get a 1989 Euro F3 throttle cable

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

We were out on Cultus lake this weekned and I broke the throttle cable right at the control. There was no fixing it as the machine crimped piece was still holding the piece of the cable. Does anyone know the part number or where to get this? I still have idle forward and reverse but no power.

We are planning on boating this weekend, like all of you, but I really need the cable.

Thanks,

Where are you located? If you are anywhere near Portland, US Distributors has Teleflex cables in stock...

It should be easy to find at your local boat dealer. I had to get one last year and I got it from an I/O dealer. Really easy to install...

Are located in the Lower Mainland, BC?

You could try Performance Watersports in Langley as they are the Malibu dealer for the area.

In and around Chiliwack, there are several boat dealers (not Malibu) that might have one.

Look on the cable itself for a part number. Failing that, you could pull the old cable and bring it in to match it up.

If you know the part # which is stamped on the cable, you can order from Steveston Marine and Hardware. They got mine overnight. Also, great suggestions from Mechmaster.
