Perfect Pass Stargazer just quit – help!

Perfect Pass Stargazer just quit – help! We were on the lake taking one last boarding run for the night tonight with some company from out of town. While under-way the boat started to accelerate and decelerate rapidly and randomly for a few seconds and it became apparent that the stargazer was not doing its job. Finished the set the "old fashioned way" (its been a while since I've actually had to pay attention to the speed of the boat…). The SG display was reading 'no GPS lock' , and when I turned SG off the clock nor speed work either. I unplugged all the connectors into the SG master module, checked the GPS wires for kinks or breaks, even moved the receiver a little, with no success.

I installed the system almost a year ago and worked flawlessly until today. One of the best things I've ever added to a boat, and now its awful being without it!

Anyone have any suggestions or trouble shooting ideas? I'm planning on calling PP on Monday, but I'd love to have use of it on Sunday….

Thanks!

Chad

Is it mechanical or DBW? If mechanical, check out the servo function, tightness of cable/knob, throttle return spring, etc.

If you're getting a "No GPS" signal, it's not likely the servo. Is there a way to do a system reset to defaults on SG? You'll have to reset baselines (only if you have 3 event version).
