Malibu Hull Decal

Does anyone have any pics or opinions on the large 8"x40" black with silver outline Malibu hull decal? I was thinking of placing it on my side hulls where it is black and thought the silver outline might look nice against my black hull. I believe it is the same one that is on the yellow malibu on the home page pic.

Here is a link to bakes with a pic of it?

Do you all think it would look ok with the black on black and silver outline?

I think from a distance you're going to be dissapointed because it wont be legible. Black on black just doesn't seem like a good idea even if there is a silver lining.

No pun intended right?

Here is a link with the black on black with the smaller transom decal.

It certainly looks good on that response IMO. I wonder if you post a side picture of your boat, if someone here can't "photshop" it for you.

That's a good idea. I still havent figured out how to upload a photo to the page.

Here is a pic of my boat without the ride emblem. Gonna add Malibu black decal to transom and possibly put hull decals on side and remove smaller rear ones.

What ya think? Could anybody photoshop that black emblem on side?

Thanks

The black and silver will look great on that boat. I've seen that decal before on black hulled Response Barefooters and it looks sharp. Just wish I could find you a picture.

I thought it might look neat. You have seen the Malibu emblem on the side that was on that link?

If you could find a pic that would be great.

Thanks for the input.

BTW I asked my smart-a** brother to photoshop the picture and below is what he came up with...He is a Mastercraft man.

Moral of the story, be careful what you ask for.

Yep. There's a guy on my lake with a Black and Blue Response Barefooter with that decal on a black hull. Looks nice. I can try to snag a picture of his boat over the July 4th weekend if I see him up there.

Just peeled the "Transformer" off my VTX and was thinking of replacing it with something. Know where i can get a wakesetter version of that response graphic?

That should have been the first indication of not letting him have a picture of your boat :)

Just use a heat gun and a piece of plastic like what you spread grout with (thin/smooth) to get it started.

If you have someone help you and run the gun or peel it goes pretty quickly. Don't get it too hot.

Use adhesive sticker remover spray for any residue left.

Pretty easy.

(If yours have been on a long time you could have a shadow left behind.)

I just used my fingers and pulled it off. i had to use my fingernails a bit to get some of the glue off but that only took about 20 minutes. One coat of wax later you cant see that it was ever there.
