Sad day......

Today everything was finalized and the 2007 Malibu VLX was sold, it will be gone on Monday Yes.gif

This was my 3rd BU, not counting ski team boats and the roommates. It is a bittersweet day, on one hand I hate to see it go, but this season with the river being unusuable, the chica starting her MBA it is time. With the injuries and age, it is time to move to a different style of boat.

I will still be at the local events, hanging here, but will be looking at a new style of boat.

I don't know you at all, but I'll give you 2 years before you get the itch and get another BU! Maybe you're getting too old for it but the kids, the kid's kids, and their kids will still need someone to pull them!!

Plus1.gif It's not over till it's over. As long as you are on the water it's all good. I used rafts and inner tubes to scratch the itch till I got my BU back.

is the river you refer to the Brazos? I used to ski/barefoot there before heading north. Is the water really low which is why you say unuseable? just curious....

Because of injuries I can understand...but age??? Dontknow.gif Please tell me your birth year in your profile is wrong. I was in high school in 1971 and I still board and ski. Age is a fact, but getting old is a state of mind. I see owning my Bu for another 8-10 years as that's when my youngest will be leaving the nest. After that who knows. Well, good luck and God's speed.

Oh ya a sad day but dad traded the old V drive for a real ski boat. Biggrin.gif

Yep the old bones hurt and arteries is setting in but who says I half to stop playing. I think I feel the best after a good hard ski. Yes.gif

Thanks Ronnie. Still have the duck hunting boats, probably will buy a kayak in the near future. It really about time, the chica is doing the MBA, then I will. At that point we will be looking at lake house on big lake, Texoma, Eufala. Boats being considered are cruisers and of course a Fountain. Not sure which way we will go, but will always be boaters. Have a couple years to save and decide which one fits.
