Mildew on underside of boat cover

Recommended Posts

I am having an issue with mold on the underside of my cover. I have washed it and scrubbed the mold off then let it dry in the sun with no luck. Is there a product out there that is safe for Sunbrella that I could spray the cover with to kill the mold?

You're putting your cover on a wet interior aren't you? There isn't much you can do to stop the mold if that's the case. You need to get a boat air dryer. I assume you put your boat on a lift or something?

If you can try this it will solve your problem, you'll have to run an extension cord for it though but it's worth it.

I usually wipe it down and dry it out pretty good before putting the cover on. I unfortunately do currently store it uncovered and do not have the capability of plugging something in. I am on a waiting list to get covered storage but the options for covered storage near my house are pretty minimal.

Same situation here. Moldy cover. My boat sits at the end of a 200' dock, no shore power, and a block from my cottage. I'd need a really long extension cord.
