Exhaust manifold drip

Recommended Posts

First time boat in the water this year and I notice that I am getting some water dripping from this what looks to be a plastic T that goes into the center of the EM. There is a hose going into each side of the T which goes into the EM. Both sides are dripping am I right to assume that they cracked and just need to be replaced. Thanks for the help.

not really plastic, but they are more like Nylon, and they do get brittle and crack. i had to replace mine (but that is after 8 seasons in salt water).

My boat is a 2004 that might be the problem.

I had that happen to mine. the previous owner had the boat in salt water. I pulled the rubber hoses off and part of the exhaust manifold disintegrated with it. I pulled the exhaust manifold off, 12 hours a new T handle and a little JB weld later, no leaks

the new t handle cost me about 12$ at the local dealership
