Don't waste a good water day.

So I took the boat out Friday night after work. I was excited to test out my brand new tower for the first time. The night did not go so well though. After getting out on the water, and my buddy up on a wakeboard, the alarm sounded and the temp gauge was pegged! Great... Shut off the boat, pull in the boarder, figure out the problem. After two hours of diagnosing we determined that it could not be fixed on the water and did our limp back to the dock.

The next day this is what I found after a little direction from the good folks at Bakes

The weather is getting nice and we are all finally starting to hit the water hard. Make sure your equipment is taken care of after the winter. Nobody wants to waste a good day trying to fix something or even worse, hurt something major.

Bummer. Impeller time. Whistling.gif I just replaced mine because I didn't want to share your story later on this summer. A ruined day at the lake with a boat full of guys who want to boat really sucks. Certainly worth $30 and an hour of my time.

I change my impeller every year and I usually have one of the ears missing and i usually put around 100 hrs per year on my boat.
