Steering pulling to the Right

Recommended Posts

I recently had my steering cable replaced in my 00 Response LX. Huge difference in the ease of steering, but now it is pulling to the right at speed.

Anybody have any suggestions, or should I take it back to the shop for them to look at?

Thanks

Darren

That is what they do - you just notice it now because it is easier to steer. One thing you can do is file a little off the back left edge of the rudder, it will reduce the pull to the right

They do that by nature so that the boat will track straight thru the course. Like Sacriverrat said, you can tune or detune the rudder for more or less pull. But then you run the risk of the boat wandering or searching as you drive down the lake.
