What engine/impeller

So this is probabally a dumb qeustion but i have searched high and low so here it goes. I have a 02 wakesetter vlx and im wanting to replace the impeller before it goes out but how does one know what impeller is the right one i dont even know what motor is in the boat all it says is Gm Vortec i cant find a serial number plate anywhere on the block now maybe the previous owner put a new motor in...Do they usually say Inmar or Monsoon on them bc they all use Gm blocks right? or am i missing something....I could pull the old impeller out and take down to the dealer but i would rather wait till i had the new one in hand before i tear it down...Anyone have any ideas Dontknow.gif I was looking on bakes and it looks like if i knew what motor it was it would be cake but ya

You have a Johnson crank mounted raw waterpump right? If so your impeller should be P/N 09-812B. Google this number or Indmar impeller and you wil find many sources to obtain one from.

he is correct on the part number. they sell it at overtons.com. i just ordered 2 for myself yesterday. mine is an 03 wakesetter vlx.

09-812b is correct, any Malibu with a Indmar engine, is equipped with that impeller.

In the Bakes photo... when/where is the thin, black rubber gasket to be used??

It's not used in our application (Indmar engines) at all. So that o-ring is a throw away.
