On the 08 Monsoon I used the drain plug on the exhaust side.

Separate feed. You have knock sensors on each side of your block so instead you can take hot water from a fitting at the base of your exhaust manifold. It comes out with a Allen wrench, about 1/2 -3/4 inches wide. 3/8 ID hose barb to a 3/8 pipe thread.
