fuel, voltage, temp gauge not working

Recommended Posts

I just took the boat out of storage for the winter where it is stored in a clean heated garage. The boat turned over and ran very well but my gauge that has the temp, fuel and voltage meter is not working; there are four displays on the one gauge and none are responding.

What could be causing this? 2001 Malibu Response Lx with 540 hours.....I am stumped...

It sounds like a ground issue or a problem with the main wiring plug from the motor wiring to the "Malibu" harness...

I have a 1999 sportster & everything senses fine untill I turn on the heater or stereo. Then the tach, fuel & temp gauges go wonky.

Any ideas here?

Add a wire between the engine block & the grounding block under the r side dash.

Just wondering if you have added that extra ground wire yet?? Did it help? Laughed when I saw your Question....I have a 99 Sportster with exact same problem.
