Tach not working

Went out on Sunday and no tach.

On the 03 Sunsetter XTI it's the one with perfect pass built into the lower 1/3 of the gauge. Perfect Pass was working fine but nothing on the tach part.

Anyone seen this before or thoughts on whether there may be a loose connection somewhere?

Based on other posts, that's a pretty common failure.

Unfortunately, I don't believe they make that combo gauge anymore, though you may be able to find one from someone who replaced it with a newer PP gauge.

I have an 05 with the same problem. The dealer told me it is $362 for the new version. Letting mine go for now.

Had this issue, couldn't find a replacement so I upgraded to the multiline display.

You might be able to buy direct from perfect pass and get their sale deal (where they throw in the chip upgrade) for around two hundy. That's what I paid over the winter.

Another source would be skiertoskier.com, especially if you have any membership affiliations that they list for some form of discount on PP upgrade parts.

PP upgrade would be nice, but I'm also thinking of letting it go for now.

I was also wondering if the manufacture would take it back and refurbish it. Anyone know if they have attempted contacting the manufacture directly?
