06' Boatmate Trailer Bunk Dimensions

I'm trying to save myself a trip all the way home to measure my bunks and I'm right beside a Home Depot. Can someone tell me the lengths of all 3 sets of bunks on an 06' t/a boatmate trailer within a few inches should be close enough. Also, I'm assuming they are 2x6, is that correct? I think I can get the treated lumber, carpet, and staples all at Home depot. I want to have them all made up and ready to install next time at the lake!!

Thanks in advance.

This is on the tandem axle BoatMate under my '05 RLXI. The outermost and farthest to the rear appear to be 8' long. Second set farther in and farther forward also appear to be 8' long. The 2 front bunks towards the center where the front keel rests are 4' long. Measured with the boat on the trailer but I think that's pretty close. I'm pretty certain they're 2x6.

Does Home Depot have stainless or copper staples to use to tack the carpet to the boards? Please report back what you find in that regard, I have a hell of a time finding staples that won't corode from being wet all the time. Anyone know where to get SS staples?

I read on another post that Home Depot had stainless steel staples, I will verify that. I have a cheap Stanley electric staple gun, if I can't find stainless staples then I will just use what I have. I'll put a few extra staples in for good measure. They're on the bottom and buried in the carpet so you can't see them and by the time they rust out I will probably have to replace the carpet again anyways!!! Thanks for the info, it is greatly appreciated.

So I sat on hold with Home Depot for 5 minutes and then some lady gets on the phone and says, "sir we not have you flooring panels in stock now" and I say, "umm, I think you're talking to the wrong customer, I haven't been helped yet" and then she says, " oh, ok, well we back order for you and you pick up tomorrow" and then I repeated myself and then she says, " oh, ok" and then hung up on me!!!! So I called Lowe's and talked to an American English speaker and now I'm getting all the carpet I need for $35!!!

I have always been leery of Home Depot and now I'm done!! So anyways, I will now check to see if Lowe's has the SS staples and report my findings.

Ok so I just got back from Lowes:

(5) 2x6x8 $25

(6) 9'x 12" marine carpet peices $42

(1) spray adhesive $7

So for about $75 I just have to spray adhesive on, staple it down, and replace the old bunks.

Kudos to Lowes for precutting the strips for me.

Now I just hope Ed's lengths were correct Whistling.gif

Ok, got the job done yesterday. Had the bunks all done and ready to just install after unloading the boat. Just unscrewed old and re-installed the new ones, pretty simple. Just make sure if you're using a cordless drill to have an extension because the cross braces get in the way. I smeared some silicone grease on them when I was done. I might not have pulled the carpet tight enough length wise as it looked kind of bumpy. But overall it turned out real good, as it was unbelievable how much easier the boat drove up on the trailer.

By the way, the 2 sets of longer bunks are 8' long but the 1 set of short bunks are only 3'.

Thanks for everyone's help.
