Seat covers

Hey all,

I ran across this company and thougth this is a cool product to help keep the vinyl in good condition. Also here in AZ, the seats get so damn hot that maybe this will help also. Has anyone used this product before? If so, what do you think?

Right now, we just have a bunch of towels covering the seats. I thought this might be a better solution.

Thoughts?

I’ve been on a boat that had them on it. While I d like the concept for protection and the whole heat issue, they are terry cloth and don’t dry quickly. So you’re always sitting on a wet seat.

The gray vinyl doesn't look that much darker than the white, but it sure gets a lot hotter doesn't it?

I thought about those for her, but never pulled the trigger for the reasons that Dude listed. I think that if I were to do it, I'd buy one for the main hatch over the engine compartment or at most all 3 hatches. We just used towels for the seats & that seemed to work out well.

Yeah, Dude brought up a good point about terry cloth not drying quickly. I'm also concerned about what the wet terry cloth covers would do to the cushion stitching over time. I would rather replace a wet towel with a dry one than be stuck with wet seats all day. I'll just stick to using towels.

Thanks for saving me some money guys! Thumbup.gif

I've thought about them for the rear doors and maybe the front seats which are rarely used for more of the UV protection. For the rear doors protection from boards possibly cutting the vinyl....

We purchased some for the center sun pad engine cover on our v-ride, along with the center rear seat bottom and the bow filler cushion. Basically, tried to cover some of the heaviest wear areas. They have been great. We pull them off at end of day to dry if they are wet. Overall, I would recommend them.

I myslef dont like the look. I have been in a boat with the covers on, and it feels and looks tacky in my opinion...

I also do not like plastic over my couches. LOL
