WakeMakers Universal Open Bow PiggyBack Ballast System

I have WakeMakers Universal Open Bow PiggyBack Ballast System and have tried to contact them numerous times (roughly 20) with no response. Has anyone seen the instructions for this system or installed it where it works successfully? I have been corresponding with another Crew member who installed his and it isn't working correctly - I did receive a T that I believe is supposed to fix the issue that he is having, but with no instructions I am not sure where it goes. I would like to get the bag installed this week - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear of you not being able to reach them. Seems a little strange as Jason is a regular here and very helpful across the board. He's been advising me on a project and has been very helpful. In fact I'm placing an order with Wakemakers this week. I'd be surprised if you don't hear from someone shortly.

I did not purchase the piggyback system however I installed my bow sac for my Vride in the same way described by WakeMakers. The only problem I had was that it took a good bit of time to fill but it would empty great. Sometimes and I could not understand why it did not do this all the time but it would empty some on its own. I ended up just plumbing in another pump and buying some factory switches from Bakes. Now it takes a fraction of time to fill and empty.

What problem are you having?

This seems to be the norm with these guys!

Yes I have attempted to contact Jason and Spenser, and I agree that when you can get in touch with them they have been helpful. I had good luck with my TankBuster system I purchased from them it works great.

I need the instructions on how this system is installed, especially with the T that Spenser sent that is supposed to eliminate the siphoning issue. Jason if you read this please send me the instructions or give me some insight on how this system is installed - you have my email and phone from my registration on your site - I would like to get this installed and need your assistance.

I assume that the open bow system goes under the seat?

Do the seat cushions go back on and people can sit in the front?

also there are fiberglass braces to add support for the seat cushions and a cooler in the right hand side would that have to be cut out to fit this system

The bag goes under the seats/braces and the cushions go back on. When the back is full it may push up on the cushions a little. Not sure about the cooler....mine does not have one up front.

Here is a link to the system we are talking about

http://www.wakemakers.com/piggyback-open-b...ast-system.html

It fits under the seat on open bow boats - I have yet to install mine as I am waiting for instructions, but if it works as they state it will be a great addition to my existing ballast.

Bump - still waiting for email from Jason (Skicrave)

Like I said I did not use the Wakemakers set up but maybe I can help you out to get going for the weekend. Find the overflow line from the center tank at the thru-hull fitting and connect it to the fitting on the bottom on the bag. Connect another line from the front top center of the bag back to the thru-hull fitting. This worked great except for times when the water would push back through the center tank. And that I was pushing water into the bag which resulted in slow fill times. This should get you going for the weekend until you get the instructions.

I forgot to mention this in an earlier post but I ended up putting a 3/4" PVC shut off valve between the center tank overflow and the inlet of the bow bag to prevent the water from flowing back. BTW I would like to see how to get the bag to auto drain and not siphon. I could never get that to work without the valve.

But like I said I replaced all of this for quicker fill times. But as for the wake it made a significant difference.
