Replace Floating Wedge with Power Wedge?

I was told by my dealer that the floating wedge cannot be replaced by a power wedge. Is this true? If NOT what is entailed and where can one purchase a power wedge and the controls. I have a 2008 VTX. BTW its amazing how quickly my dealer with 5 stores disappeared since last year!

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will post, but on a 2008 VTX which is what I have too, you should be able to upgrade to a power wedge. The service guy laughed at me though when I asked how much. Now this is a service guy not a sales guy, he told me to just use the floating wedge for a while before considering the upgrade. He said the powerwedge was a nice feature, but the floater produced a great wake.

It can be done but, you would need to source all the parts yourself. A dealer and Malibu will not sell them to you.

That's the key. There are people that have done it, but they've had to scrounge the parts off of wrecked boats. You won't get it done through traditional channels.
