buying a 2000 response lx?

Looking at a 2000 reponse lx,with 325 monsoon.Wondering what problems I shoud be looking for?boat has 341hrs,wedge,tower,stereo.Looks very clean.Seller says no salt water.Valuation?Any help please?

Great boat. If you slalom You will be real happy with it. Hours are low, so unless the boat wasn't serviced, it should be in great shape. A compression test on the engine would be good indicator of engine condition. If boat was stored outside, corrosion of electrical connections might be an annoyance. Just take a look at those connections. Does the owner have invoices for service work performed or did he do it himself. See if he has service records. Give the boat a good look over. Try the steering. If it is a struggle to turn the wheel, the steering cable more than likely needs replacement, but not a big deal and not out of the norm. Take a look at th engine & trans fluid both bfore and after boat has been run. And definitely take the boat out for a test drive/ski.
