Am new to this site. am doing up a 07 vlx that has been rolled on the road, hence needing a new Tower...

I am hoping you great people can help me out (shameless a** kissing I know)

Would like to know inside and outside measurement of illusion x tower on any other 07 VLX at the base??? Of the mounting brackets.

Have found a couple around but am wanting to make sure they are for a VLX not a VTX or 23LSV

Wow, I've heard of rebuilding a rolled Jeep, but never a boat! If no one helps you by then, I'll post some measurements this evening. Good Luck bringing her back to life.

Plus1.gif I don't know how a rolled boat can only have some minor hull damage, but then again anything is possible.

Are you in New Zealand? There was a thread showing a majorly hammered Bu in a road accident maybe 5 months ago. If that is your project then you are certainly an ambitious fella! At any rate, any boat rebuild is an ambitious project. There have been a couple of projects where floors or complete boats have been refurbished, but not rebuilt. Search the forums and you should be able to find them. Good luck.

Will post pictures tomorrow. quite poosibly the same Bu that was wrecked in the road accident. Have got flooring and seating out where it is damaged to already, am not denying there is alot of work in it but it is definetly achievable...

Ran into issue today of not being able to get prop shaft out but i am sure it will be on the DIY section am about to check.

As for measurements of the tower i have spent hours searching through different topics and cant seem to find them???

All help and interest much appreciated!!!! Will get onto loading up the photos.

If I get my boat back this weekend, I will measure for you. I have an 06, but that is the same hull as your 07. Interested to see pics!!!

Still need those measurements if anyone can HELP please.

Boat and trailer are coming along nicely. Any one also know what brand of Gelcoat malibu use as i am trying to match colours up as well.

83"1/2 on the rear and 83" 1/4 at the front that was inside to inside off an 07 VLX.

Thanks for measurments sorry to be a pain in the butt but are you able to post the outside to outside measurements also??

holy crap marty did you buy perins vlx?its was a very nice boat untill i saw it do a front roll.....i live in hamilton and have a good friend in the states whos in the know for parts, flick me a text on 0211440429 and i will see what i can do.....good luck bro you have one big job infront of you.
