4 Outlet Heater Vent Locations?

Alright guys, picked up a 4 outlet heater with 2 euro vents and 2 pull out tubes for my Response LXI. I was leaning towards a dual two outlet heater install but the single 4 outlet was much cheaper.

Wondering if anyone has some great ideas where to put all those vents. I was planning on mounting under the drivers dash, but if someone has a cool idea for putting on the passanger side I would be down for that. I also have a basslink I'm looking to install by the drivers feet so space is at a premium down there.

So far my plan is the 2 euros by the drivers feet, and one of the hot tubes close to or in the factory location in the walkthrough. Also thought about putting the two pull outs side by side up higher in the walkthrough to give them more reach for the passengers in the obervers seats. May also want to throw a pull out up near the bow....

So, whats your idea?

I have a Vride and I ran a pulll out tube one under the gunwale to just before the cupholders behind the drivers seat. It works great for people sitting in the rear seat. The other two pull out tubes are at the drivers feet.

In my 205 I had 5 vents from a 3 outlet core. I had 2 dash vents to defog the windshield, 2 hot tubes under the spotters seat (1 of which was 6' long & would reach the back seat), and one vent under the driver's dash.

If I were going to do it all again, I'd install all Hot Tubes if I could fit them all in.

If air is cold enough to require heaters, the bow seat is the last choice for where to sit. Thus, not sure one is needed up there...although with four outlets available, why not? I kinda like btbaeders idea of running one through the gunnel to the rear seating...if space is available.

Does the air stay nice and warm? I would imagine its about a 6 or 7 foot duct run in a DD boat.

Only thing is we only use the back seat if the boat is pretty full, that's assuming the back seat is in to begin with.

We use Hot Wrap blankets, especially in the back seat. The 6' Hot Tube I had in the 205 (20'5" DD) was long enough to go into the bottom of the blanket with a pair of people sitting in the back seat.

Without a doubt, put one of the euros in the dash. You can use it to defog the windshield on those damp mornings or late night cruises. When not using for defog, point it up into the windscreen and install the windblock in the walkway. It helps heat the entire area behind the windshield and gets some heat over to the passenger area. I'd put one at the driver's feet. I have one down there with a Basslink and it fits just fine. The two pull-outs in the walkway are a good idea on the LXI also. If it were a V-drive, I'd say try to get one back to the rear seat, but if you're out and using the heater, you likely have people skiing, rendering the backseat useless. 2 pull outs for the people in the observers seat (especially if rotating sets) would be far better than one.

Thats what I'm thinking. I may stick one up in the bow temporarily just to see how it gets used.

Not sure I want to cut into the vinyl dash to put in a defog euro vent, no flat spot that is gelcoated like on the older bu's. I did have one euro up there on my 03 response and it was nice, just not sure it would really work with the newer dash pods.

Thanks guys

Chris

I'd block one of the four. You'd have more heat flowing through the other three then. Then have two at the driver's feet and the one pull out in the walk through.
