Hammerhead 383 in 2004 LSV -How many ponies?

Is the Hammerhead 383 in a 2004 LSV 400 HP? I think that is what I have heard but I have seen other notes that it is 375 HP.

I think in 2003 it was 365, 375 in 2004 and 400 came later yet.

I don't think the Hammerhead was a 383 in 2004. I have an 04 23 LSV with a Hammerhead but it's the 380 Hammerhead. I believe it's a 350 with 380hp. I think the 383 Hammerhead came about in 2005 or 2006.

2004 would be the 380 HP Hammerhead, 2005 is when the 383 came out with 400 HP

I've said it before & I'll say it again, it was a really stupid thing for Malibu to continue with that name in 2005. They're two completely different engines & it continually/consistently creates confusion.

Thanks for the feed back. We bought an 04 witht he Hammerhead last week. We are please with the boat so far. Only 1 issue so far which I put on another thread.
