Water pump markings

I just installed a new impeller on my Magnum 350 and, an kicking myself for not marking the inlet/outlet more carefully. Can someone help me ensure I have them re-installed correctly?

the markings I see are "LH out" and "RH Out" One obviously pulls from the lake while the other pushes to cool the engine but, I have not been able to figure out which one goes where.

respectfully,

Not sure, but the engine rotation would determine the "out". I think my trans is marked "LH rotation". Look around your trans for a tag. I guess the prop might be stamped too.

My setup has the intake hose connected to the outlet to the inside of the boat.

If I understand you correctly, if I've verified that the engine rotation is "LH" I should connect the inlet (from lake) hose to the "RH out" side of the pump? Leaving the "LH out" side to the motor?

I appreciate your assitance!

Yes.

I mixed mine up before. I slowly idled out of the no wake zone without a problem. But after 20 seconds of giving it throttle, the engine overheated quick.
