So before I commit to an 05 or newer bu I need to ski behind 1. This weekend I am trying an 05 vlx. What length rope does everyone recommend? I'm not a course skier just a recreational 1. Not sure if it is a diamond or wake. Thanks

just buy a surf rope, The sweet spot tends to be in the 16-18 ft range but it will vary from boat to boat. if you buy a surf rope you can choke up or take a link out at the tower.

It will depend on speed also. the smallest wake may very well be a very short rope. I had a v drive and found 41off was a blast very good wake @ 36mph.

If the boat has any ballast you can try some weight forward.

When my son moved out of the house I fixed the wake issue. Just bought a Response LXI. All is good now! Tease.gif
