Cover?? '93 Echelon on an '02 Response LX

I was wondering how close a fit a cover from a '93 Echelon would be to fitting on an '02 Response LX? Would the re-inforcements for the w/s be in about the right place etc? Can anyone let me know that may have had both models.

Thanks in advance for your help

I can't say for certain, It would definately be close. I have seen cover companies that have the same cover model for the 93 echelon - the newest response LX. And those that have a differen't pattern.

I know the deck on an echelon is a little taller, but not much. Length and width are the same. The windshields are a little different. Again not much.

I found out that the cover came from the factory on a '93 Echelon open bow model. Hope that helps. Any other opinions.

Thanks

There is a near new echelon cover on ebay, I will try and find the link and post it.The cover looks to be in perfect shape and no bids. Starting bid $49 can't go wrong with that and no reserve.

That is the one I am thinking about. My Response came with a snap-on cover that is getting a little worse for wear plus it snaps on the rubrail which is not ideal. Do those covers keep the rain out but still allow the air to circulate? I had a Sunbrella cover custom made for my Cougar and it does a great job of keeping the rain and snow out as long as I don't let it pool. Any advice.

Thanks

Gary, that is the exact same cover I have. It does a pretty good job of keeping the rain out. Mine is still the original cover (12 years) but it was only outside for (not under a boat lift canopy) for a year.

It is in need of replacement though. If I were buying new and my boat was unprotected, I would get sunbrella. But I am a little anal about my stuff. But for the price that cover does work. The Cloudburst is breathable, and it does a decent job as long as the water doesn't pool.

If that one covered the platform I would be all over it myself.

I am not sure what to do. My cover is usable and I bought a semi-custom one to tow the boat home with that does go over the platform. It just has an elastic sewn into the hem, so you can't snug it up. It did come with buckles and straps to tie it to the trailer. I can also strap it to the cradle on the boat lift too. I guess it will depend on how high the auction goes.

Thanks for the comment
